Will work in a client facing role, either as a team or individual, making presentations and managing client expectations The Project Engineer will lead and direct the development and design of infrastructure projects for roadways, including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways and interstates Assists Project Managers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data, and adherence to prescribed analysis, design, or computation methods
Uses a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems. Other activities may include defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical input and direction, and reporting the work status.May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.Applies established technical approaches, processes, and methods.Working primarily on MDOT civil highway, municipal and private development projects.Develop strong client relationships through delivery and engagement to win future work.Perform business development on behalf of GHD, position for new work and secure projects.
